Crossett High School Eagle Band

     The CHS band is located in Crossett, Arkansas in the southeast corner of the state. Crossett is the home of Georgia-Pacific, and the Bemis Coorporation, among other area employers. Crossett has a population of about 9,000 plus and is 50 miles from Monroe,La.

    The Band is an intregal part of the CHS School District. They perform at ALL football games-home and away, home basketball games, participate in the Arkansas School Band and  Association  Marching and Concert Assessments, as well as other ASBOA events.  They also perform 2 concerts and several local school and community events

    The Band is under the direction of John McLaren. Mr. McLaren has a B.M.E from Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas and a M.Ed from the University of Arkansas/Monticello in Monticello Arkansas. Mr. McLaren has 33.5 years of teaching experiance on the beginning, middle, junior, and high school levels. 30 of these years have been in Crossett.
